Congratulations on your 5th Day!


Listen. If this was easy everyone would be doing it, right?


The real challenge is to keep going, to keep trying to fit the three chosen exercises in your day. The goal isn't to be perfect, necessarily. Now, if you’re the type to score 30/30, then you and I need to sit down, because you need to be on our next show!!


But if you're a regular beautiful human then you might occasionally drop a day. If you do, get up, dust off and give it another go. Life comes with ebbs and flows. That's not an excuse, its a reality. So roll with it, and get back to the challenge. My message for all challengers today is the following:


Choose Consistency over Intensity


Why? Because consistency builds habits, and habits change everything! When we workout too intensely it can knock us out with soreness or worse yet, injury. This will jeopardize our habit formation and therfore our long term success. Exercise is, after all, taxing on the body. It can energize, but it can also enervate. The harder you workout the more food you may eat, and the more time you will need to rest. All of that translates into more time not exercising...which is lost time.

And guess what you are in serious danger of losing the days you aren’t working out? That’s right, momentum! And this is especially important for those of you new to fitness or are just getting back into it.


Every day missed could develop into a resistance to working-out again, and why would you -- it can be super painful. So consider taking the easier and more consistent route. Think behavior change and success for a lifetime, not just for a season. We can ease our way into shape, the same way people eased themselves out of it.
