True Change is Identity Change

So many times we struggle keeping our goals because we have not aligned our self image with the goal we’ve chosen. We have this innate need to act consistent with who we believe we are. But if /when there is a disconnect between our image and our intended goals... we become prisoners of our own self image.

Goals may start on the outside of you, but they can't stay there. They need to live inside of you, changing little by little who you are, what your standards are, and how you live up to your intended new self. You must think to yourself that your goal is just a tool to becoming. For everything you want to happen in your life: it's not a getting, it's a becoming. It really is about the journey, and not just the destination.
